I think most people who draw probably have far more unfinished and unpublished works than pieces they actually show to others. Maybe it comes from holding ourselves to very high standards - feeling like we’re not good enough yet, or that our work hasn’t reached a level worth sharing. Maybe it’s because we’re sensitive and tend to overthink. Maybe it’s because we care about how others might perceive us through what we create and worry about being judged or misunderstood. With the rapid development of technology, it also feels like most things created by humans could soon be overwhelmed by what machines produce.

But perhaps because of that, I feel like I should share the things I’ve rarely shown to anyone before. Maybe this is a way of pushing against myself - and, in some way, pushing back against the world.
